Position Summary
Oak Terrace Resort & Spa in Pana, IL is seeking a full time Lodging Manager to join our team. Hours will vary week to week, some mornings, some evenings and weekends. Here at Oak Terrace we take pride in delivering exceptional guest service every day and we are looking for the right person to join our team.
Key Requirements:
- Successful history as a Lodging Manager or related hospitality experience a plus but not required
- Must have a flexible work schedule
- Possess high level of professionalism
- Task-driven individual
- Please have solid references
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones at the front desk to respond to current and prospective guests’ needs
- Book reservations for individuals and groups as required
- Accommodate guest requests
- Communicating with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Up selling guest lodging and promoting resort services, such as spa treatments
- Maintain a clean and neat front desk area
- Schedule and train front desk staff
- Oversee front desk routine tasks
- Coordinate rooming blocks
- Maintain rates in our point of sale software
- Manage units in our rental program
- Manage all reservations and communications with our Vacation Club owners
Skills:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Friendly phone manner/personality a must
- Willingness to work some nights, weekends and holidays
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry a plus
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to maintain confidentiality
